1.Site Title & Description
The Site Title and Description help search engines understand the general subject matter of your site. You can add a Site Title in the Design Panel. In the Home Menu, click Design, and then click Logo & Title.
Enter the title of your site in the Site Title box. Click Save in the top-right corner.
You can add your Site Description in the Settings Panel. In the Home Menu, click Settings, and then click Basic Information.
Enter a concise description in the Site Description field and click Save.
2.Search Engine Description
The Search Engine Description will appear in the search results listed for pages on your site.
Transient
You can add your Search Engine Description in the Settings Panel. In the Home Menu, click Settings, and then click SEO.
Add a descriptive sentence about your site in the Search Engine Description field, then click Save.
3.Page Description
We recommend adding specific descriptions for every page on your site. These descriptions will display in search results. Hover over the page title, and click the Settings icon next to the title to open Page Settings.
Enter a few descriptive sentences about the page in the Description box and then click Save.
Note: Page descriptions are set for each page separately in its Page Settings.
Note: Index pages don't negatively impact SEO; search engines ignore everything after a hash (#) in the URL of the Index page.
4.Optimized Page Titles
Optimizing title formats is another way to give higher priority to content in individual pages or items (blog posts, for example) than you give to your homepage.
Site Title First
If you want the site as a whole to match all search terms related to your site content, you can place the Site Title first. The purpose of placing the Site Title first in the page title ordering scheme is to draw search attention to your site title or brand, rather than individual pages.
Collection or Item Titles First
Some site owners want to draw attention to individual elements of their site. Bloggers, for example, want to have each of their blog posts rank highly in searches. The focus of attention is on the titles of posts, rather than the site title. Whether or not you place them first, Page Titles are important for search engines. Use keywords in Page Titles and in content of your pages.
Changing the Title Order
You can change the Site Title, Page Title, and Item Title order in SEO Settings.
In the Home Menu, click Settings, then click SEO.
Type the following variables into the Homepage Title Format, Collection Title Format, and Item Title Format fields:
%s - Site Title
%c - Collection Title
%i - Item Title
Note: Hovering over the ? icon at the right of each field will display the supported variables for that field.
Click Save in the top-right corner.

5.Site Map
An XML site map is a list of pages on your website that may help search engines find specific pages. However, for most websites, especially Squarespace sites, XML site maps are unnecessary. Squarespace employs a clear site architecture and clean URLs, so search engines can crawl and index your content.
In case you want it, Squarespace does automatically generate a Sitemap for all sites. Your site map lists every URL on your site and image metadata for SEO-friendly indexing.
You can view your site map at this URL:
https://yoursitename.com/sitemap.xml
Note: Replace yoursitename with your Squarespace site name.
6.Quality Inbound Links
One of the most useful practices for improving SEO is to garner inbound links from websites that are similar to yours or contain related content. Encourage other websites to link to your website by creating quality content that their readers will find valuable.
It's important that your inbound links come from well-established, high-quality websites. Avoid methods that generate low-quality incoming links or constitute spamming practices.
